Welcome to Kohlhammer, one of the most traditional offset printing companies in southern Germany – with 120 people who are proud of their work. Where the focus is less on the technology and more on the customer. Not the machine, but the employee. Someone who makes your job his – and his know-how yours.

Our services are consultation-intensive. It is all the more important to speak the language of the customer - and not that of a printer. We want to understand exactly what is required. PRINTING
As long as there are people like our employees, there will be print - because people here live and breathe print. Printing is as much in their DNA as making things better. It helps that we implement all production stages in-house. This allows us to improve processes and optimize costs. We can react faster and handle larger volumes. And in all of this, we can guarantee one thing above all: Kohlhammer quality.
FINISHING
Finishing and handling after printing are not unloved by-products at Kohlhammer. The well-thought-out logistics afterwards are just as much a part of our work as the intensive consultation beforehand. It deserves the same passion and commitment. Regardless of whether it is a matter of finishing a printed product or sending it off: a customer who chooses us gets Kohlhammer expertise throughout the entire process.

Here at Kohlhammer, most services are provided by a single source – and many are unusual for a print shop. That we take care of things like IT or webshop connections, data portals or consignment warehouses. That we have the entire prepress, fully automated printing plate production and also the entire postpress and logistics in-house. All of this is atypical – but it is typical Kohlhammer.
Desktop-Publishing
Of course, we also take on the work that precedes the data transfer. Classic DTP with layout creation, image research, text-image integration, design and correction - we realize your ideas right up to the print-ready data.
Datamanagement
The basis for our outstanding quality is already laid in the pre-press stage. Your data is taken over by our specialists. The transfer to the digital workflow only takes place after extensive personal and automatic checking using state-of-the-art programs.
Digital Printing
With machines that print up to 7 colors. Including inline finishing: printing, folding and stitching take place in a single operation, without separate post-processing.
Offset Printing
With state-of-the-art machinery and the latest technology. With systems that print up to 18,000 sheets per hour, up to 8 colors and up to 75 cm x 105 cm format.
Finishing
Everything from a single source means that we also handle the finishing of your products ourselves. At the heart of our versatile capabilities is our state-of-the-art perfect binder, which is equipped with barcode readers that prevent language versions from being mixed up.
Logistics and Shipping
This is one of our greatest strengths - and why we have the most staff. In addition, we have a large number of fully automated systems that ensure short throughput times, high process reliability and cost-optimized production.
Whether invoicing, personalizing or inserting. Whether multilingual mailings or printing on demand: we take care of the entire logistics from A for address handling to Z for customs clearance.
